The Human Rights Party has called for a press conference to bring to the attention of the authorities concerned and to the public, at large the dissatisfaction of the Indian community in the way the young of the community are being systematically denied opportunities for JPA scholarship, for entrance into public universities.
HRP and Hindraf gave an ultimatum to the Higher Education Ministry and the Prime Minister that they will burn the 1Malaysia effigy if they fail to solve the problem of the Indian students not getting a place in the higher learning institution.
